Dinner then a movie.  Movie then dinner.  Hmmmmm.  How about dinner and a movie, like, at the same time? Under the stars, perhaps?  Done.  Cafe Habana here we come!  On Sunday evenings from May until late October, Cafe Habana is host to movie night.  The huge patio, filled with picnic tables, becomes an outdoor movie theatre where customers can indulge in delicious fare while watching a movie projected onto the building wall.  You order, you sit, you eat, you drink (frozen mojitos and margaritas), and you watch.

But seriously.  While the movie was definitely a highlight of the evening, we were blown away by the tasty Cuban/Mexican fare.  From the tacos to the sandwiches to the exceptional corn.  Delicious.

Thanks to everyone who recommended Cafe Habana by way of a BBM, text message, FB or Twitter. Unfortunately, we are now in serious Cafe Habana withdrawal.  Three Sundays have passed, and we are still not over it.  We want the entire experience again, and again, and again.  It was a blast!

rather peckish out for gelato? hell yeah!  we are crazy about gelato, hence us being regulars at the College Street location.  Since we never discriminate, we frequent the Danforth location quite often as well.  While we do increase our gelato intake during the summer months, it is definitely a dietary staple during the fall to celebrate the harvest, the winter to beat the blues, and of course during the spring to welcome the bloom. Gelato seems to, well, just make everything better.  So, whether it is pistachio (one of our all-time faves) or mojito (yes, you read that right), or amarena cherry, we are always ready for a heaping scoop of some of that cold, creamy, deliciousness.

We are always looking to expand our frozen treat experiences.  Let us know your favorite spots for gelato and of course your flavour(s) of choice.

Burgers, burgers, and more burgers.  In June, we indulged in burgers, all part of The GridTO Burger week. Unfortunately we didn't have enough room to eat every burger.  We did, however, sample burgers from bestellen, keriwa cafe, utopia cafe, e11even, burger bar and hadley's.  It was, for all intents and purposes, burger heaven.  It was so good, that we found it imperative to include the word 'burger' in every sentence!

We love sushi.  We love it because it is delicious.  We love it because it stunning.  We love it because it is super fun to eat.  And of course, we love sushi because it photographs so very beautifully. Just look at the picture of the tuna sushi.  It is exquisite (if we say so ourselves).  Last Thursday we had a yen for sushi.  To our delight, Issmi satisfied our craving and served up extremely fresh and delicious tempura, sushi, and maki. And with a side of spicy mayo, there was the added bonus of a little kick with every bite. Amazing food and friendly service made for a great dinner and some excellent photo ops.
