What: mexican food counter
Where: toronto, ontario
When: march 2012
Why: authentic Mexican soul food craving
How
do we at rather peckish love spending a day off when it is warm and
sunny? Being a tourist in our own city, of course! After reading many
excellent reviews about Agave Y Aguacate, we moseyed on down to
Kensington Market to satisfy our insatiable craving for authentic
Mexican food. The restaurant is part of a Latin American food court.
We are using the word 'restaurant' lightly: it is more of a food counter
complete with a table, plastic chairs, a hot plate, and an extremely
friendly culinary master and artist. The chef has an obvious love for
his ingredients and a passion for what he does. We ordered tostada ana,
stuffed poblano, and a chicken and chickpea soup. We watched the food
being prepared, chatted a bit, picked up a bottle of tequila, and went
straight home to indulge. The food was tasty and spicy and fresh and
super delicious!!!

Thank you for posting Agave! I too had the pleasure of eating there. The food was so good and so spicy I actually broke out in hives. You can understand why this comment will remain anonymous...
